In 2016, NSF International implemented Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management as a focused deployment within a broader Oracle Fusion HCM program, addressing enterprise absence and leave policies across the global HR estate. The implementation sits in the Absence and Leave Management category and was delivered alongside Core HRMS, Talent Management, Compensation Management, and Learn amp LMS capabilities as part of a unified Fusion HCM footprint.
Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management was configured with standard absence plans, eligibility rules, and absence balances, and integrated into core HR data models using Fast Formulas and HCM Extracts. The deployment leveraged BI Publisher, OTBI, and OBIEE reporting to produce cross module reports and dashboards for absence trends, manager reporting, and calibration use cases. Time and labor configuration was included to align time capture with absence rules and payroll feeds.
The implementation included inbound and outbound integration patterns using HCM Connect, HDL, and TCC for daily data movement and conversions from on premise EBS and custom applications. NSF developed outbound integrations to 14 benefit vendors, a global payroll interface to ADP and a specific payroll interface for ADP WFN USA, and integrations with third party systems including Concur expense and Give a wow recognition. Learn amp LMS was integrated with Fusion for learning and talent workflows, and multiple extracts and BIP reports supported operational reconciliation and vendor interfaces.
Governance covered global HR operations across 30 countries and seven languages, with training, year round support, and issue resolution for HR teams, managers, and employees. The program included redesign of work structure, compensation cycles, approval workflows, and hire to termination business processes, plus data masking for sensitive HR data. Operational support responsibilities encompassed biweekly payroll support, benefits open enrollment configuration, and ongoing report and dashboard development to support HR, total rewards, and payroll functions.
