In 2017, NSW Electoral Commission implemented Humanforce Ento Pay Rules and Leave as an Absence and Leave Management solution to support large-scale contingent workforce operations. The deployment focused on rostering and timesheet controls for temporary election staff, with the application used as the operational system of record for approvals, leave requests, and pay rules configuration.
Humanforce Ento Pay Rules and Leave was configured to manage rostering, timesheet approvals, leave management, and pay rules enforcement. Functional workflows included timesheet submission and manager approval, leave booking and balance tracking, and pay rule application at the timesheet validation stage. Reporting outputs were produced for assessment centre statistics using Excel, indicating routine export and analysis workflows.
Operational coverage included management of over 300 temporary staff across assessment centres and stand-by deployments, daily fulfilment and deployment of staff, and on-site candidate processing. The implementation used the ENTO app for rostering and timesheet approvals on iPads with facial recognition to authenticate contingent workers at check-in, tying device-based clocking to the Absence and Leave Management processes.
Governance and process changes centered on formalizing timesheet approval and absence investigation workflows, with the system enabling case handling for excessive sick leave and no-shows. Operational responsibilities extended to payroll enquiry handling and coordination of security pass issuance, with ENTO workflows integrated into day-to-day staffing and attendance governance.
