In 2015 NTT North America implemented AppWorx Workload Automation as part of a Business Process Management program to orchestrate nightly batch ETL and workload scheduling for a Life and Annuity Insurance TPA engagement. The implementation centered on enterprise batch orchestration and job flow control using AppWorx Workload Automation to schedule and execute financial and non financial nightly jobs across development and production environments.
AppWorx Workload Automation was configured to support job flow design, schedule orchestration, performance tuning, and automated recovery tasks. Functional capabilities implemented included ETL job scheduling for Informatica Powercenter and SSIS, Python based ETL for market data capture, PLSQL based data validation checks against CORE databases, and shell script automation for archival, purge and database health checks.
The deployment integrated with an existing UC4 Automic team for job flow design and execution using the UC4 Automic system, and used analytics tooling including Power BI and Tableau for UC4 cycle job analysis and visualization. Operational coverage included development, production support, and coordination with offshore teams, with workloads touching SQL Server stores and downstream web applications that consumed ETL outputs.
Governance emphasized agile aligned change and release management, quarterly proof of concepts to validate automation that reduced cycle duration, and formalized unit testing and deployment activities. Day to day operations included root cause analysis of recurring cycle failures, continuous code optimization, and cross team coordination to stabilize batch cycles and automate manual workflow items.
