In 2017 Nueva Pescanova implemented SAP S/4 HANA - Production Planning (PP) as part of its LEGONOVA program to establish a single platform for core enterprise processes. The deployment targeted Advanced Planning and Scheduling capabilities to consolidate production planning across the Group's processing plants, aquaculture sites and fleet operations. The Nueva Pescanova SAP S/4 HANA - Production Planning (PP) Advanced Planning and Scheduling deployment directly supports production planning and shop floor control business functions.
The implementation focused on standard production planning modules consistent with the Advanced Planning and Scheduling category, including materials requirement planning, capacity planning and shop floor scheduling, configured to align with the Group's financial, purchasing, sales and logistics process flows on the SAP S/4HANA platform. Configuration work emphasized end to end process orchestration so production planning rules, demand inputs and supply constraints could be evaluated within the same transactional platform.
Minsait, an Indra company acted as the systems integrator for the rollout, integrating SAP S/4HANA capabilities with commercial management and promotions processes and enabling future IoT driven use cases for improved customer knowledge. The program was scoped for a phased regional rollout, with first phase commissioning planned for July 2018 at corporate headquarters and selected subsidiaries, followed by progressive extension to the rest of the Group across the 27 countries where Nueva Pescanova operates.
Program governance established unified working procedures and a common KPI model to measure processes across companies and divisions, intended to increase transparency and simplify operations.
