SAP Legacy SAP Business One ERP Financial ERP Financial Management 7Milowy 2007 2008
In 2007 Oceanic implemented SAP Business One as its core ERP platform, adopting the SAP Business One application to address transactional and financial controls in the ERP Financial category. The deployment was executed with 7Milowy engaged as the system integrator and implementation partner. The implementation established functional coverage for accounting, sales and marketing, and HR, where a developing team built process-specific configurations and workflows inside SAP Business One. Sales force automation and business intelligence systems were deployed alongside SAP Business One to support field sales workflows and management reporting, with explicit integration points maintained between the ERP, SFA, and BI layers. The technical architecture included on-premises infrastructure spanning three LAN/WAN locations 50 to 500 km apart, two dedicated server rooms, nine computer racks and an optical fibre network. Oceanic operated approximately eight servers across Microsoft, Unix and Linux platforms, supporting ERP, BI, SFA, backup, firewall, network management and domain services, and administered roughly 265 workstations distributed across four sites with about 60 mobile sales users on smartphone-enabled SFA and email services. Governance and rollout were driven by a project manager using PMI methodology, with ISO 9001 internal audit responsibilities, formal documentation, procedures and user training programs. Operational support included a help desk covering multi-version desktop and mobile operating systems, ongoing system administration, and routine IT service management tied to the SAP Business One deployment.
