In 2002 OFS Fitel implemented Adexa Factory Planning & Scheduling across its United States optical-fiber manufacturing operations, Apps Category . The selection of Adexa’s Enterprise Global Planning System eGPS was announced in December 2002 and implementation was planned thereafter to align planning and execution timelines with business priorities.
The deployment focused on factory planning and scheduling capabilities, with configuration work addressing inventory management, production scheduling, asset utilization optimization and customer order prioritization. Adexa Factory Planning & Scheduling was configured to support demand-to-supply reconciliation and order promising workflows, producing centralized production plans and scheduling windows to coordinate shop floor activities.
Operational coverage targeted OFS Fitel’s optical-fiber manufacturing footprint in the United States, embedding planning outputs into manufacturing workflows and material planning processes.
