In 2019, Openreach implemented SAP S/4 HANA to consolidate and standardize its core finance environment, executing a program aligned to the ERP Financial category across the United Kingdom finance organization. The program framed SAP S/4 HANA as the central finance system for statutory reporting, general ledger control, and financial governance at scale for the communications operator.
The SAP S/4 HANA deployment encompassed ERP Financial functional modules including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, cash and treasury management, period end close orchestration, and tax and statutory reporting.
