In 2013 OPTORG implemented SAP Business All-In-One as part of a Management Controllers Information System Overhaul Project. The deployment targeted ERP Financial requirements and concentrated on the MM and SD modules to standardize procurement, inventory and sales transaction processing within distribution operations.
SAP Business All-In-One was configured to operationalize materials management and sales and distribution workflows, including material master configuration, purchase order lifecycle, goods receipt and stock valuation, sales order processing, pricing and billing configuration. Configuration aligned transactional postings to financial controls and management controller reporting, embedding transactional to ledger touchpoints typical of ERP Financial systems.
The project scope emphasized embedding MM and SD transactional flows into the Management Controllers Information System to provide consistent transactional data for controlling and finance teams. Implementation covered distribution business functions such as procurement, inventory management, order to cash and management controlling, with access controls and process ownership assigned to controller and operations teams.
Governance established configuration change control, master data stewardship and process governance for procurement and sales operations, with phased module activations to limit operational disruption. Training and process alignment for management controllers and operations staff were included to operationalize SAP Business All-In-One configuration and sustain the new finance and controlling workflows.
