In 2019, Orangebox implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in an ERP Financial deployment to consolidate corporate finance and operational accounting. The project replaced Microsoft Dynamics AX and was delivered with systems integrator Columbus, targeting the manufacturing companys finance, procurement, and supply chain accounting processes across its United Kingdom operations.
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation focused on core financial management capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and financial reporting, configured to align with manufacturing cost accounting practices. Configuration work included chart of accounts redesign, posting profiles, inventory valuation settings, and business process orchestration consistent with ERP Financial functional patterns.
Columbus led data migration and integration work to transition transactional and master data from Microsoft Dynamics AX and to re-establish connectivity patterns previously provided by Supply Chain Solutions for Microsoft Dynamics AX and Connectivity Studio for Microsoft Dynamics AX. The implementation architecture combined staged data exports and controlled data loads into Business Central, and established integration touchpoints to preserve order to cash and procure to pay workflows supporting manufacturing operations.
Governance and rollout emphasized master data governance, cutover sequencing, and process documentation to preserve accounting controls and inventory valuation rules during the cutover from Microsoft Dynamics AX. Columbus established post go live support and stabilization processes, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central positioned as Orangeboxs central ERP Financial system.

In 2016, Orangebox implemented Promark from Mark Information as its Time and Attendance application. The Promark deployment was sized to process time and attendance records for all 450 employees across Orangebox manufacturing operations in the United Kingdom, establishing a single system of record for weekly timesheet capture and attendance data.
Promark was configured to support core Time and Attendance capabilities including weekly timesheet input, working pattern configuration, exception management, and scheduled reporting. Operational activities explicitly implemented in the system include inputting of timesheets on a weekly basis, preparing creating and issuing time and attendance reports to managers, investigation of payroll queries and providing resolution, and processing time and attendance records for all employees via Promark. The implementation included coordinated working pattern setup between Promark and the Snowdrop HR database, indicating a data alignment between workforce scheduling and HR records.
Governance and operational ownership followed a weekly processing cadence, with HR responsible for processing records and maintaining working patterns, line managers receiving issued reports for review, and a designated payroll liaison handling payroll query investigations and resolutions. Configuration control centered on Promark for attendance rules and on Snowdrop HR database for employee working pattern records, supporting end to end payroll and HR workflows within the Time and Attendance domain.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service | Field Service Management | ERP Services and Operations | Columbus | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 Orangebox implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service to address manual process gaps across Transport Operations, Delivery, Installation & Services and Integration within Field Service Management. Columbus served as the systems integrator on the program, with a delivery focus on planning, scheduling, skill maintenance and mobile enablement to reduce reliance on memory, discussion and searching through email.
The implementation emphasized core Field Service Management capabilities including skill set management, inventory visibility, schedule board based planning, crew creation with Lead Resource ownership allocation, and installation tasks linked to finished goods and required skill sets. Design work included site survey booking, governance automation for RAMS and questionnaires, site specific alerts for procedural needs, and detailed activity closure procedures to standardize installation and service workflows.
Integration and deployment architecture centered on mobile first field tooling and content integration, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service app providing offline capability and an easy sync process for field engineers. SharePoint integration was implemented to provide instant access to job specific project plans, floor plans and instructions, and near real time automated communication was configured to keep head office informed of job progress. The technical design recommended a semi automatic approach to amendment related tasks and load planning at Go Live, with later enhancement to full automation.
Operational coverage targeted planning teams, resource planners, field based engineers and head office operations, supporting scheduling of multi day installation and service jobs and enabling straw planning, publishing and updating of schedules. The Field Service schedule board feature was specified to match the right skills to the right jobs at the right time, and the mobile app was positioned to improve the field user experience for installation, service and delivery orchestration.
Expected benefits articulated in the case study included reduced manual effort to access relevant information, improved efficiency of customer satisfaction relating to installations and service requirements, and a more intuitive and effective experience for field teams using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service. The implementation narrative links Orangebox Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service Field Service Management to operational consolidation of orders, deliveries and installation or service activities.
