In 2014 Orlando Magic partnered with Ticketmaster to implement Ticketmaster Account Manager as a Reservation and Booking Management solution to support its season-ticket and fan credit programs. The deployment was explicitly used to operate the Magic Money virtual-currency program and to centralize season-ticket management workflows, enabling returns, upgrades and flexible use of credits for holders.
The implementation configured Ticketmaster Account Manager to host virtual-currency accounting alongside season-ticket inventory controls and returns processing. Functional capabilities included credit issuance and redemption, automated upgrade flows for seat exchanges, and managed returns that reconciled customer credits with ticket inventory in the system.
Integration work focused on ticketing and CRM connectivity within the United States, linking Account Manager transaction records to the club s customer records to support personalized credit balances and resale eligibility. Returned tickets were routed through Account Manager s resale pathways and resold at market value, a change that supported bonus return programs offered in subsequent seasons and increased flexibility for season-ticket holders.
Operational governance was centered in ticketing operations and CRM teams, with process changes to ticket returns, credit management and upgrade approvals embedded in Account Manager workflows. The Orlando Magic used Ticketmaster Account Manager to align reservation and booking management processes with revenue programs, enabling programmatic resale and credit mechanics that supported the club s season-ticket business model.
