Oracle Legacy Oracle NetSuite ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2018 2019
In 2018 Outdoorsy implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP. The Oracle NetSuite ERP deployment targeted ERP Financial capabilities, with a focus on general ledger, accounts payable, multi-entity consolidation and multi-currency revaluation for Outdoorsy’s US and international entities. The implementation was led from the accounting organization, with the Accounting Manager driving configuration of core financial modules and month-end close workflows. Functional workstreams included general ledger configuration, accounts payable processing, intercompany reconciliation rules, month-end payroll journal entries, and consolidated financial reporting, deployed on the cloud-hosted SaaS architecture typical of Oracle NetSuite ERP. Operational coverage extended across the finance and accounting organization, including an accounts payable department and international accounting counterparts who collaborated on cost plus entries and entity consolidation. The deployment supported full-cycle payroll journal handling and reconciliations of complex banking and credit card statements as part of the consolidated close for multiple international entities. Governance and process changes accompanied the rollout, with development of an accounting control framework, formalized intercompany reconciliation procedures to achieve zero balances at month end, and standardized foreign currency revaluation and consolidated exchange rate procedures at month end. The finance team used Oracle NetSuite ERP to prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and to support audits and leadership reporting.
