| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle PeopleSoft ERP | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 Pacific Life implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP as a PeopleSoft 9.2 Finance upgrade, targeting a centralized financial platform to support accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger functions. The rollout focused on ERP Financial capabilities to standardize core finance processing and reconciliation across the insurance finance organization.
Configuration and functional scope included PeopleSoft AR, AP, GL and Cash Management modules, with orchestration of voucher generation, posting and payment dispatch through Financial Gateway. The implementation included automation with the PeopleSoft Test Framework for smoke, security and end to end test runs, and SQL based data validation against an ORACLE database using SQL Developer.
Integrations explicitly instrumented during the program included Control-M batch scheduling to process CST external files through a PeopleSoft preprocessor bolt on application, ingestion of Lawson cash files into PeopleSoft Cash Management, and use of ServiceNow to document and manage the change release process. Test lifecycle tooling and reporting were managed with HP ALM and HPQC, which hosted test plans, execution tracking and dashboard reporting for managers and business stakeholders at the Newport Beach, CA finance site.
Program governance emphasized a structured QA test lead model, weekly core test team meetings for planning and execution, and cross functional defect triage with project managers and developers. Testing responsibilities covered system, integration, and end to end testing, coordination of multiple testers, verification of release readiness, and provision of post Go Live functional support.

| Employee Navigator | Legacy | Employee Navigator PTO Tracking | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2024 | 2024 |
In 2024, Pacific Life implemented Employee Navigator PTO Tracking as part of its broader Employee Navigator deployment. The Employee Navigator PTO Tracking supports Absence and Leave Management and interfaces with benefits enrollment and plan API connectivity used by brokers in the United States.
The deployment combined time off tracking capabilities including PTO balances, accrual scheduling, and approval workflows typical of Absence and Leave Management systems with the vendor's benefits enrollment modules. Configuration focused on aligning PTO policies with HR recordkeeping and automating status transitions between HR case states.
Integrations were centered on Employee Navigator plan APIs that power benefits enrollment and broker workflows, producing near zero rate errors and enabling cases to move from sold to ready to enroll in under 24 hours. Operational scope emphasized HR and benefits administration teams supporting U.S. broker channels.
Governance emphasized centralized configuration of absence policies and enrollment triggers to maintain data fidelity across enrollment and leave workflows, with rollout directed at HR and benefits operations. PTO tracking usage is inferred as part of Employee Navigator's broader HR and benefits suite for HR and process area coverage at Pacific Life, a 4000 employee insurer.

| Broadcom | Legacy | AppWorx Workload Automation | Business Process Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014 Pacific Life implemented AppWorx Workload Automation as a key orchestration and scheduling layer within its Business Process Management environment to support ETL and batch workload coordination. AppWorx Workload Automation was deployed to orchestrate complex ETL chains that fed a new business and underwriting data warehouse supporting underwriting, policy administration, workflow management, and agency management functions.
The implementation configured AppWorx Workload Automation to drive Informatica PowerCenter mappings, workflows, and mapplets, coordinating session runs, error handling, and dependency sequencing alongside cron and Windows batch schedules. Functional capabilities emphasized workload scheduling, automated job dependencies, parameterization of ETL jobs, and operational monitoring of long running data pipelines that executed complex SQL and PL SQL stored procedures and reusable transformation logic.
Integrations were explicit and wide reaching, AppWorx Workload Automation interfaced with Informatica PowerCenter 9x, Oracle 11g, DB2 LUW, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, and flat file sources, and it scheduled extracts originating from systems named in project artifacts such as Genius, Cyber life, Sequence, and Performance plus. The operational toolchain included ServiceNow for incident management, GITLab for configuration and code delivery, TOAD and Oracle SQL Developer for database work, and soapUI for integration testing, reflecting a cross functional orchestration footprint across data engineering and application teams.
Governance and process changes accompanied the rollout, with AppWorx integrated into delivery management processes for code delivery, review, and release management, supported by impact analysis, unit testing, technical and business sign off, and configuration management. Operational practices emphasized session monitoring, performance tuning of ETL and database components, maintenance of knowledge management artifacts for defect prevention, and structured testing across integration, regression, and user acceptance phases.
