In 2018, Paloma Global deployed Trend Micro Hosted Email Security as its Secure Email Gateways (SEGs) solution. The Trend Micro Hosted Email Security cloud service was provisioned to serve as the perimeter email filtering layer for Paloma Global corporate mail traffic.
The implementation configured core SEG capabilities consistent with the category, including inbound and outbound scanning, spam and phishing protection, advanced malware inspection and attachment sandboxing, URL rewriting with time of click protection, quarantine and policy management, and centralized reporting through the administrative console. Trend Micro Hosted Email Security was used to centralize threat detection and policy enforcement for email security operations.
Deployment was integrated into corporate mail flow through MX and DNS routing so that inbound and outbound mail traversed the hosted service for processing and policy application. Operational coverage focused on IT security and corporate communications functions across Paloma Global, with the service applied at the corporate domain level to ensure consistent filtering and quarantine handling.
Governance for the implementation emphasized role based administrative access, quarantine review workflows, and standardized email policy rules tied to compliance and incident response processes. Trend Micro Hosted Email Security provided the centralized management console used by Paloma Global teams for ongoing policy configuration, alerting, and reporting.
