In 2017 Paquetá The Shoe Company implemented Oracle Retail Data Warehouse as the centralized data platform to support its Oracle Retail planning portfolio and to provide a single source of truth for inventory and merchandising analytics. The deployment complemented existing Oracle Retail applications including Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning, Oracle Retail Assortment Planning, Oracle Retail Warehouse Management System, and the Oracle Retail Clearance Optimization Engine, aligning data into a unified Data Warehouse to enable daily, granular planning decisions across the business.
The implementation configured functional modules for inventory visibility, financial allocation, assortment optimization, clearance optimization, and warehouse inventory control. Oracle Retail Data Warehouse aggregated transactional and master data across roughly 400,000 SKUs, 52 categories, 132 subcategories and four store formats, enabling real-time inventory snapshots and machine learning driven demand forecasts to inform buying, replenishment and promotions workflows.
Integrations were executed across the Oracle Retail suite to connect merchandising, assortment, financial planning and warehouse workflows, and the warehouse management footprint extended into distribution and order fulfillment processes for Paquetá00+ stores and manufacturing operations that produce more than 65,000 pairs of shoes per day. Logic Information Systems, an Oracle PartnerNetwork Gold Level Partner, provided implementation knowledge and best practices to deliver the integrated solution on time and on budget.
Governance shifted from department specific metrics to a centralized planning cadence, standardizing metrics and enabling buyers and supply chain teams to plan on a daily basis with one source of truth. Outcomes reported by the company include a 26% reduction in inventory, elimination of more than 20 low performing categories, and an improvement in profit margin by a factor of 3X, outcomes that were driven by the integrated Oracle Retail Data Warehouse and its downstream planning and optimization modules.
