RIB Software Legacy RIB Software BuildSmart ERP Construction ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, Peace River Hydro Partners deployed RIB Software BuildSmart ERP as its Construction ERP to centralize cost management for the Site C Clean Energy Project. The rollout focused on cost and allowable reporting across defined cost areas including tunnels, earthworks, and diversion structures, and established quarterly forecasting workflows for scoped work and schedule driven forecasts. Configuration of RIB Software BuildSmart ERP emphasized project cost control and forecasting capabilities, with structured templates and ledger mappings for cost areas, forecast iteration processes, and schedule-linked estimate maintenance. The implementation supported routine development and maintenance of forecasts for cost and scheduling, and operationalized client reporting processes that include claims and commercial reporting requirements. Operational integrations were implemented with HCSS, Ceridian, CCS, and Power BI, with explicit responsibilities for maintenance of inbound data feeds and training for all users. Power BI was used for consolidated reporting and dashboards, while integrations with HCSS and CCS supported field and subcontract cost inputs, and Ceridian supported payroll and workforce data flows into the project cost baseline. Governance and process changes centralized ownership of forecasting and data maintenance within project controls and finance, with training programs rolled out to construction, commercial, estimating, scheduling, and finance teams. Client reporting routines were formalized to capture claims and commercial aspects, and ongoing data stewardship and user training were established as operational controls for the RIB Software BuildSmart ERP deployment.

In 2014, Peace River Hydro Partners implemented Microsoft Power BI to centralize Analytics and BI for the Site C Clean Energy Project. The initial scope targeted structured cost reporting across project cost areas including Tunnels, Earthworks, Diversion Structures, cost and allowable reporting, and quarterly forecasting of scopes, together with development and maintenance of forecasts for cost and scheduling. Microsoft Power BI was configured to deliver role-based dashboards, consolidated visualizations and scheduled report packages tied to cost and scheduling forecasts. The implementation included building data models, ETL pipelines and forecast models to support quarterly forecasting and ongoing maintenance of forecasts for cost and scheduling. Microsoft Power BI was used to standardize report templates and visualization standards for project financial and schedule metrics. The implementation integrated operational data from HCSS, Ceridian and CCS alongside Power BI, with explicit ownership for maintenance of data and training for all users. Operational coverage encompassed cost control, scheduling, commercial and claims reporting, and client reporting workflows for the Site C project. Data consolidation supported cross-functional reporting between project controls, commercial teams and client-facing reporting.
