| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Cloud HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Pearson India implemented Oracle Cloud HCM as its Core HR system. The deployment was led by an Asia Pacific HR Deployment Lead who worked directly with in-country HR teams and solutions design teams to gather local requirements, execute user acceptance testing, and deploy Oracle Fusion HCM across the scope of the project.
The implementation codified a global HR design into Oracle Cloud HCM, with configuration focused on core HR capabilities including employee master data, organizational management, position and job structures, and security and localization settings required for multi-country HR administration. Configuration work emphasized alignment of global design principles with local statutory and payroll-adjacent requirements as captured during requirements workshops.
Operational coverage centered on HR and workforce administration functions at Pearson India and was coordinated across Asia Pacific in-country teams to ensure consistent adoption of the Oracle Cloud HCM Core HR model. User acceptance testing and local requirement capture were primary mechanisms for validating functionality and adapting the global design to country-specific HR processes.
Governance was structured around a solutions design team and in-country HR leads, using staged testing and adoption gates to control rollout and adoption. The deployment narrative focuses on system configuration, governance of local requirement intake, and orchestration of UAT and go live activities for Oracle Cloud HCM within the defined Core HR scope.
