ResMed Legacy Brightree Business Management Business Process Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Pediatric Home Service implemented Brightree Business Management as its Business Process Management platform to support DME, HME and respiratory therapy operational workflows at its Houston site and across clinical intake functions. The deployment aligned with operational ownership in Medical Services and Admissions, and was adopted by staff responsible for intake, authorizations, and customer service within a roughly 580 employee organization. Brightree Business Management was configured to support core intake and order lifecycles, including patient insurance verification and uploads of clinical and referral documentation, creation and maintenance of DME/RT client accounts and call logs, assignment of work in progress states, and authorization tracking. The implementation emphasized authorization and eligibility workflows, document logging consistent with ICD coding updates, and day to day order management for home medical equipment and respiratory therapy products. Operationally the Brightree deployment followed prior staff use of Caretinuum business management tools and stood alongside historically used systems such as MestaMed and Fastrack in authorization operations, reflecting a phased application footprint in clinical intake and referral processes. The platform supported front line interactions with hospitals, source vendors, payers and community or governmental agencies through structured intake and referral handling and through centralized account and WIP state management. Governance and process changes were led from Medical Services and Admissions, where supervisors implemented action plans to coordinate Medical Services responsibilities with other operating departments and to standardize workflows. Teams used Brightree Business Management to formalize intake procedures, validate insurance and physician documentation, assign work items, and escalate provider or claims issues, embedding business process management practices into daily admission, authorization and customer service operations.
