| Microsoft | Microsoft Dynamics AX | Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022, Peet’s Coffee implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial platform, replacing Microsoft Dynamics AX and moving to a cloud-first architecture on Microsoft Azure. Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was positioned as the central hub for core financial reporting and inventory management across Peet’s multi-channel business, unifying finance, supply chain, and warehouse operations.
The deployment encompassed core financials, supply chain and inventory management, enhanced warehouse management configured for multi-channel requirements, product information management with lot and expiration tracking, master planning using MRP to generate production, purchase and transfer orders, and Project Operations to replace Excel-based capital project tracking. Configuration shifted transaction handling from batch-based processes to real-time inventory visibility, and the implementation enforced standardized, leading business practices that changed day-to-day workflows for procurement, planning and warehouse teams.
Interfaces to external systems and data conversion were significant technical efforts, requiring extensive design, engineering and testing to support integrations with distribution centers, third-party logistics providers and DSD networks. Blue Horseshoe Solutions guided a parallel warehouse transformation that revised physical layout, slotting, receiving and sorting processes while Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations went live in August 2020 in a big-bang virtual cutover across all locations and functions. The operational scope explicitly covers roasting plants, two closely located warehouses serving multiple channels, more than 440 retail locations, grocery and traditional retail channels, e-commerce and DTC sales channels.
Peet’s instituted centralized master data management and a data governance program to standardize and cleanse master data inherited from Microsoft Dynamics AX and subsidiary consolidations, addressing inconsistent and highly customized legacy records. Business process redesign accompanied the technical rollout, moving teams from spreadsheet-driven processes to system-driven workflows and automated planning and replenishment, which required change management and additional transaction steps during adoption.
Outcomes documented in the implementation include creation of a digital twin of inventory that replicates 3PL and DSD positions for end-to-end visibility, real-time on-hand inventory visibility, reduced inventory shrinkage through aging visibility and automated workflows, improved product traceability via batch and lot tracking, improved fulfillment accuracy from warehouse management best practices, and supply chain maturity and flexibility that support new locations and fulfillment options while sustaining a 98 percent fill rate for e-commerce orders.

| Workday | UKG Pro HCM (ex UltiPro HCM) | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2025 | 2025 |
In 2025 Peet’s Coffee implemented Workday HCM as its Core HR solution following a migration from UKG Pro HCM, formerly UltiPro HCM. The engagement included urgent integration support to stabilize critical data flows and ensure the new Workday HCM environment supported ongoing HR operations.
The implementation concentrated on Core HR configuration and orchestration of workforce records and transactional HR workflows, with configuration aligned to standard Workday HCM functional patterns such as position management, employee data management, and benefits data models. Configuration work emphasized integration-ready data models to minimize functional gaps between Workday HCM and downstream HR processes.
Integrations were a focal point of the post-migration effort, ROCKCREST provided expert support using Workday Studio, EIBs and Workday Cloud Connect to streamline data flow and restore interoperability. That work targeted payroll interfaces, provisioning feeds and HR transactional synchronization to ensure seamless functionality across HR and IT operational domains.
Governance activity centered on rapid stabilization and integration testing, with ROCKCREST’s support enabling Peet’s to remediate post-cutover issues and reestablish integration runbooks. The engagement stabilized critical integrations post-migration and allowed Peet’s to fully leverage the Workday HCM environment for Core HR operations.

In 2018, Peet’s Coffee implemented NCR Voyix Aloha POS, a Point Of Sale solution, to standardize store transaction processing and centralize sales capture across its retail footprint. The deployment centered on NCR Voyix Aloha POS software running on POS terminals and associated hardware, with field support and escalation procedures established for ongoing operations.
Implementation work emphasized core Point Of Sale capabilities including real time transaction processing, payment capture, terminal management, store reporting, and processes to detect and remediate missing sales to ensure store sales data is uploaded. Operational activities documented by onsite contractors include Level 3 support for Aloha software and hardware issues, daily terminal crash reporting, and monitoring of missing sales reporting to validate data integrity.
The program integrated operational support with third party vendor coordination for network and security continuity, specifically coordinating SDWAN conversions and security systems troubleshooting and repair with external vendors. Governance and workflow adjustments routed escalations to retail systems technicians who manage open cases, enforce vendor SLAs, and assist onsite technicians, aligning Field IT, retail operations, and security teams around NCR Voyix Aloha POS support and incident remediation.
