In 2014 Pentair implemented Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable as an AP Automation solution to support Accounts Payable processing within its finance organization. Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable was positioned in a SAP-centric finance landscape and aligned to broader EMEA accounts payable objectives during initial rollout activities.
The implementation emphasized system design and configurations for invoice capture, automated approval workflows, exception management, supplier onboarding and electronic invoice processing, reflecting standard AP Automation functional capabilities. Workstreams included configuration of business rules, workflow orchestration, and operational handoffs to support centralized processing and control across EMEA.
Integration and operational coverage were coordinated with parallel finance projects in the region, including the Dolphin SAP integrated PTS system implemented in EMEA between 2014 and 2015, and the global Concur deployment for expense reports in 2015. A SharePoint based communication platform was used to consolidate documentation and stakeholder communications, and subsequent global AP workstreams progressed toward pilot activities from 2017 to 2018 with Esker as a separate global AP solution project.
