In 2007 PetroValve implemented ADP Payroll to centralize Payroll operations and HR administrative workflows for its 450 employees in the United States. ADP Payroll was deployed to support core Payroll functions and HR-related processing under the companys Payroll strategy.
The implementation used ADP Total Source and ADP Resource Bi-Weekly to execute bi-weekly payroll runs and to capture pay, status, and benefits changes. Functional capabilities configured included payroll calculation and posting, preparation of documentation for new hires and pay or status changes, and maintenance of employee profiles and payroll placement.
Operational coverage extended across HR and payroll administration, recruitment activities such as preparing and posting job advertisements and screening applications, and general administrative support including composing correspondence, arranging meetings, processing confidential reports, and tracking deadlines. The system served as the primary repository for employee file records and the employee directory, and was used to enter and maintain changes in employee status in a timely manner.
Governance and workflow practices centered on HR generalist support, leave management and benefit administration within established policies, and escalation protocols for sensitive employee relations issues to managers. The deployment also formalized procedures for handling absence of the HR Manager, monitoring performance appraisal processes, and exercising individual judgment when raising potential or real troubles to management.
