In 2014, Physabek implemented Oracle NetSuite Commerce to establish a dedicated eCommerce channel supporting sales and customer experience across its Canada operations. Physabek is a consumer packaged goods company with about 110 employees and 10,000,000 in revenue, and the Oracle NetSuite Commerce deployment was scoped to enable online storefront and order capture for its direct online selling efforts.
The Oracle NetSuite Commerce implementation included core eCommerce modules such as storefront and content management, product catalog and merchandising, shopping cart and checkout, customer account management, promotions and pricing rules, and order management capabilities. Configuration work emphasized SKU level catalog structure, pricing and tax rules, shipping and fulfillment parameters, and marketing content workflows to support merchandising and promotions.
Deployment used the cloud hosted architecture of Oracle NetSuite Commerce, leveraging SaaS delivery and centralized platform configuration. Integrations followed standard eCommerce patterns, synchronizing inventory and order information with back office systems, connecting payment processing and shipping providers, and exporting commerce activity to analytics and customer systems for downstream use.
Operational governance was organized under eCommerce operations and marketing, with formalized workflows for catalog changes, promotional approvals, and order exception handling. The rollout embedded platform administration and merchandising responsibilities into existing commercial and customer service teams to sustain daily commerce operations.
