The deployment was positioned to centralize the bank's HR operational and administrative activities across Payroll, Pensions Administration, Operations Services and HRIS, aligning the HR application layer with group policy definition and implementation.
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central configuration focused on core person data, organizational management, position management, global payroll base data and workforce administration modules common to Core HR implementations, with role based access for HR Communities of Expertise covering Compensation, International Mobility and Benefits, Recruitment Marketing and HR Legal, Risk & Compliance. Configuration emphasized cloud based HCM capabilities such as centralized employee records, organizational hierarchies and delegation workflows to support multi jurisdictional HR processes.
Operational scope included responsibility for HR teams in the Zurich and Luxembourg offices, and the platform supported functions owned by central HR such as Payroll, Pensions Administration, Operations Services and HRIS. The implementation supported functional accountability for the Head of HR for Trading & Alternative Investments and previously Corporate Functions, providing a single system of record for cross site workforce administration.
Governance and process changes accompanied the deployment, with Pictet embedding a Communities of Expertise collaborative model to align Compensation, Mobility, Benefits and HR legal workflows, and with the Group Diversity Board supported by the HR secretary role. The program also delivered explicit outcomes reported by leadership, including advancing Diversity and Inclusion on the corporate agenda and obtaining global EDGE gender equality certification, with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central serving as the cloud based Core HR backbone for those governance and policy efforts.

Operational ownership included a Platform Lead role responsible for platform stability, vendor engagement and ongoing evolutions, supported by business analysts and developers working inside a Design Community and a Community of Practice around Avaloq. The Platform Lead maintained regular contact with the supplier to handle issues and planned evolutions, and promoted continuous knowledge sharing and skills updates among development and analysis teams.
Governance centered on platform-level configuration control, release coordination and design standards enforced through the Design Community, aligning platform operations, development and business analysis functions. The implementation narrative focuses on embedding Avaloq Core as a shared banking engine with disciplined governance and a sustained vendor relationship to manage ongoing platform evolution.
