Configuration centered on core Absence and Leave Management capabilities, including centralized leave tracking, accrual and entitlement rules, automated time-off request workflows, and administrative absence approval processes. UKG Pro Absence (ex Ultipro Absence Management) was configured to reflect multi-state leave rules and company policy, and to provide case management style workflows for statutory leaves and disability administration consistent with the category. The implementation linked absence records to the existing Kronos timekeeping and workforce management footprint and included a general ledger interface for payroll accounting and reconciliations. Operational coverage spanned HR, payroll, benefits administration and site-level timekeeping teams within the manufacturing environment, aligning absence data with payroll runs and GL postings. Governance and process restructuring were executed by the HRIS and payroll organization, which implemented policies and procedures to streamline timekeeping and control overtime. The HRIS/Payroll team also performed benefits and compliance tasks including 401K plan administration and workers compensation audit support, and they used the platform data to research and correct prior tax withholdings resulting in a documented refund of 48K, positioning UKG Pro Absence as the company Absence and Leave Management system supporting HR and payroll functions.
