The Viewpoint Vista deployment centered on project accounting and job costing, general ledger and contract in progress schedules, accounts payable, payroll and HR related processing, and consolidated financial reporting across the group of companies. Configuration work included setting up cost allocation rules for indirect costs and overhead to reflect true project-level costs, establishing payroll-related compliance workflows, and embedding contract in progress schedules into month end close routines.
Operational coverage extended to domestic operations and a Canadian subsidiary, including configuration for foreign currency considerations and compliance with Canadian regulations. Financial workflows were aligned with external stakeholders, maintaining working relationships with bankers, CPAs, and insurance and surety companies to support insurance claim handling and lien resolution processes.
Governance and rollout combined hands-on training and process adoption, the Assistant Controller conducting initial system training and ongoing classes to build synergies between Operations and Accounting. Ongoing governance included monthly budget to actual review meetings with Owners and Project Managers, and centralized oversight of job costing, payroll processing, and statutory reporting within the newly implemented Viewpoint Vista Construction ERP.

The team used the toolset to solicit bid packages to subcontractors, lead and document weekly subcontractor meetings focused on issues, safety, and schedule, and to coordinate weekend superintendent activities overseeing five to ten subcontractors.
Governance changes focused on centralized control of plan updates, structured review cycles for budgets and change orders, and documented processes for submittals and RFIs to ensure accountability across construction and estimating functions. The Bluebeam Revu implementation supported project closeout activities, including direct coordination with building department inspectors to assist in obtaining certificate of occupancy.
