In 2011 PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk upgraded Oracle E-Business Suite from 11i to 12.1.3 and upgraded Oracle Discoverer from 4 to 11 as part of a bank-wide ERP Financial modernization. The work centered on moving the institution to Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 to support core finance and reporting functions across its Indonesia operations.
The implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 included standard finance modules aligned to ERP Financial workloads, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management and subledger accounting. Oracle Discoverer 11 was deployed to replace Discoverer 4, providing an updated reporting and ad hoc analysis layer that consumed E-Business Suite financial schema and reporting extracts.
Deployment followed a multi-tier application and reporting architecture consistent with on-premises ERP Financial installations, separating application, database and reporting tiers and coordinating schema and patch levels between E-Business Suite 12.1.3 and Discoverer 11. Operational coverage targeted corporate finance, treasury and accounting functions across the bank, with integrated reporting workflows between Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Discoverer to preserve transactional-to-report continuity.
Governance and rollout activities included version compatibility validation, data conversion and reconciliation, role based access review and phased testing with parallel accounting runs prior to cutover. Configuration focused on preserving existing financial workflows while applying necessary configuration and patching for the 12.1.3 upgrade, and Oracle Discoverer 11 deployment aligned reporting catalogs and subject areas to the upgraded financial schema.

On May 28, 2019, PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk began a multi-phase implementation of Oracle Cloud HCM to modernize its HR environment. The program targeted consolidation of multiple disparate HR systems and included migration of HR data from Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS into a single, cloud-native platform.
Oracle Cloud HCM was deployed as a full-suite HCM implementation with Core HR as the foundational module, and configuration emphasized a single employee record, workforce structures, and performance management capabilities. The rollout included integrated business intelligence and reporting capabilities to standardize master data, improve visibility, and enable faster HR decision making.
Oracle Consulting led remote delivery and cutover activities, delivering go-live in 2020 despite Covid-19 constraints, and conducting cutover via Zoom and WebEx. The implementation was executed in two phases and extended operational coverage across CIMB Niaga's Indonesian network of 446 channels, including 385 branches, 34 Digital Lounges, and 27 mobile branches, aligning local HR operations to a global standard.
Governance and process changes focused on centralizing HR data governance, embedding standardized workflows into local HR operations, and simplifying transactional HR tasks for a consistent user experience. CIMB Niaga expected improved performance management and more accurate business insights through the unified Oracle Cloud HCM platform and its BI capabilities.

| ConsenSys | Legacy | ConsenSys Quorum | Blockchain Platform | Blockchain | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk implemented ConsenSys Quorum as its chosen Blockchain Platform, joining JP Morgan’s Interbank Information Network participation that used Quorum for permissioned payment messaging and compliance data exchange. This deployment placed ConsenSys Quorum at the center of a consortium model for interbank communications, aligning the bank with a permissioned ledger architecture designed for secure, auditable information sharing across correspondent banking relationships.
The implementation leveraged ConsenSys Quorum capabilities for permissioned smart contract execution, secure messaging, and document file transfer, consistent with the functional components described for the network. Configuration work focused on node provisioning within the consortium, access control and identity management for participating banks, and data modeling to support compliance inquiry workflows and IIN Resolve features such as target account validation.
Operational integrations centered on cross-border payment and compliance workflows, with the ConsenSys Quorum deployment operating alongside existing correspondent rails such as SWIFT while enabling simultaneous, multi-party interactions when payment details were flagged for confirmation. The Interbank Information Network roadmap referenced production processing for both domestic and foreign payment data and a test network for third-party developer access, indicating the ConsenSys Quorum deployment was scoped for international payment communication and developer extensibility.
Governance implementation emphasized permissioned access controls, consortium-level message governance, and workflow changes to allow participating banks to request and share compliance information concurrently. The stated aim for the network was to reduce payment delays and lower operational expense by improving communications around problem payments, while opening the platform to third-party developers for additional secure messaging and data services.
