Oracle Legacy Oracle Cloud ERP Accounts Payable AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, PTC implemented Oracle Cloud ERP Accounts Payable as part of an AP Automation deployment to centralize invoice processing and payable controls across its worldwide finance organization. The implementation was delivered on Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud with continued use of Oracle Applications R12 artifacts for specific interfaces, and the environment included GL, AP, AR, CM, and FA modules to support end to end financial operations. The project configured the full Fusion Financials accounting stack including ledgers, legal entities, currency, chart of accounts, accounting hierarchies, trees and allocation rules. Multiple balancing segment features were implemented, covering primary balancing level, chart of accounts level, legal entity level and ledger level, and inter company functionality was enabled at these levels. AP specific capabilities were configured and extended, including invoice validation programs, payable open interface controls, custom AP aging and remittance configurations for vendors and individual contractors, and BI Publisher driven outputs such as a zero dollar payment report. Integrations included customer registration and master data flows from Salesforce with SFDC to Oracle AR customer interfacing, and upstream data flows from Salesforce, Zuora, Z quote and CPQ to the financial stack. Procurement touch points were addressed by extending the I Procurement edit lines experience to enable charge account capture in the OAF page and by retrofitting the purchase order print form to meet business requirements. Upload and bulk data interfaces were implemented using ADFDI and FBDI for journals and transactional loads, and reporting was enabled via OTBI, BI catalog, Financial Reporting Studio and Smart View with Enterprise Scheduler Services used for scheduled report generation. Program governance followed agile practices, with Team Projects and user stories used for delivery planning, a designated primary point person accountable for executing stakeholder strategic imperatives involving technology, and cross functional collaboration with business partners. Identity and access controls were managed through Oracle Identity Manager, LDAP sync processes and Roles and Authorization Policy Manager including creation of custom job roles, duty roles and data roles. Test plans and QA coordination were executed with defined test cases and user participation in final testing phases, and periodic alerts were created to surface validation failures in AP invoice and payable open interface processing.

Workday Legacy Workday Absence Management Absence and Leave Management HCM n/a 2022 2023
In 2022, PTC implemented Workday Absence Management as part of a broader Workday HCM deployment. The implementation addressed Absence and Leave Management requirements for a global employee population of 7,000 spread across 26 countries. Workday Absence Management was configured to support core absence workflows including absence request routing, eligibility and accrual calculations, leave plan configuration, and balance visibility for employees and managers. The configuration was aligned with adjacent Workday modules implemented at PTC, including benefits, time tracking, recruiting, talent, and advanced compensation, enabling shared worker profiles and consistent business rules across HR processes. The solution was provisioned within the Workday cloud HCM architecture and integrated through PTCs integration layer. The IT integrations team managed connectivity and data synchronization to over 30 third party systems, ensuring absence records and time tracking data remained coordinated with benefits and HR master data. Operational governance was coordinated with Centers of Excellence across HR and IT to establish absence policy configuration, compliance controls, and standardized approval workflows. The Sr. Principal Workday Solutions Architect at PTC led configuration and rollout activities, partnering with COEs to champion and streamline best practices across departments and to align integration sequencing and cutover planning.
