BHMI Legacy BHMI Concourse Disputes Dispute Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, Pulse - a Discover company extended its use of BHMI’s Concourse, deploying BHMI Concourse Disputes alongside Concourse Extended Settlement and Concourse Fees & Commissions to support principal settlement across its U.S. debit and ATM network. The configuration targeted flexible settlement cadence and high-volume processing, with reported daily transaction volumes averaging approximately 13 million transactions daily. BHMI Concourse Disputes was implemented to provide Dispute Management capabilities including dispute case intake, investigation workflow orchestration, evidence and document management, and regulatory reporting support. These dispute lifecycle capabilities were configured to link directly to settlement and fees modules, enabling automated case creation where settlement exceptions or fee disputes were detected. Architecturally the deployment centralized settlement and dispute orchestration within Pulse’s U.S. network operations, supporting settlement operations, finance, risk, and compliance functions. Operational integrations emphasized transactional feeds from the debit and ATM switching environment and automated handoffs to internal settlement ledgers and fees engines, preserving audit trails and end-to-end case context between settlement, fees, and dispute records. Governance changes focused on standardizing case routing, dispute adjudication workflows, and settlement cadence policies to align dispute resolution with principal settlement windows. The combined deployment of BHMI Concourse Disputes with Concourse Extended Settlement and Concourse Fees & Commissions provided an integrated Dispute Management and settlement framework to manage high transaction volumes and support regulatory compliance oversight.
