In 2020, Q Design & Construct implemented Bluebeam Revu as a Collaboration application to formalize PDF review, markup, and shop drawing workflows. The deployment focused on supporting design management and project delivery workflows for QDC’s Design Coordinator and Design Manager across regional and metro project sites in Western Australia with a pipeline that includes interstate projects.
Bluebeam Revu was configured to support discipline coordination, PDF markups, cloud enabled review sessions, measurement and annotation workflows that feed into shop drawing approvals. The implementation emphasized structured drawing review, stamp and revision control, and document verification processes to assist with monitoring, reviewing and verifying design documents for completeness and constructability.
The Bluebeam Revu rollout was executed to operate alongside existing Procore document control and approvals, with MS Project and MS Excel used for scheduling and cost tracking support. Operational coverage included internal project teams, external consultants and subcontractors, with Bluebeam used daily by design and delivery staff to interrogate specialist technical advice and resolve design discrepancies.
Governance changes centered on standardized markup conventions, defined review cycles and clearer handoffs between the Design Coordinator, consultants and construction teams. The use of Bluebeam Revu aligned with QDC’s goal of improving design quality, resolving clashes and reducing errors and omissions during the transition from design brief to for construction documentation.

In 2020, Q Design & Construct implemented Procore Document Management to standardize document control across its industrial and commercial project pipeline. Q Design & Construct uses Procore Document Management in the Document Management category to support design coordination, shop drawing approvals and procurement documentation workflows for concurrent projects.
The implementation centered on a centralized document repository with version control and configurable approval workflows, aligning with typical Document Management capabilities for construction. Configuration emphasis was placed on shop drawings workflows and correspondence tracking, and the system was used to manage documentation from Design Brief through For Construction work packages and construction documentation reviews.
Procore Document Management was adopted to operate alongside existing project tools, with explicit use and coordination with MS Project, MS Excel and BlueBeam for scheduling, data exchange and PDF markup workflows. Operational coverage targeted Q Design & Construct project delivery across regional and metro sites in Australia, with the Design Coordinator responsible for day to day administration and cross project coordination.
Governance and process changes were formalized through the new Design Coordinator role reporting to the Design Manager, responsible for consultant briefings and scopes, monitoring and verifying design documents, coordinating construction certificates and facilitating timely award of trade packages. The Design Coordinator used Procore for all document control, shop drawings workflows approvals and correspondences, and enforced meeting minute capture and distribution to maintain traceability across consultant and subcontractor interactions.

In 2016, Q Design & Construct deployed Microsoft Azure Cloud Services to host its public website. Q Design & Construct uses Microsoft Azure Cloud Services within the Application Hosting and Computing Services category to provide cloud-based application hosting and compute for its web presence. The implementation focuses on hosting the company website and related web assets.
The platform deployment reflects a cloud-hosted architecture that leverages Azure compute and storage capabilities for serving web content, with network routing and DNS handled through Azure platform services and content delivery optimized within the same cloud tenancy. Operational ownership appears concentrated with an internal administrator or small IT function, supporting website publishing workflows and platform provisioning consistent with a 25 employee construction and real estate firm. Governance is centered on cloud provisioning and access control for the website environment rather than broader enterprise system consolidation.
