In 2015 Qatar Airways implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform to centralize finance, procurement and asset management functions. The deployment footprint included operations at Hamad International Airport in Doha and was staffed with systems engineering resources responsible for platform availability and technical ownership, working closely with Technology and DBA teams.
Oracle E-Business Suite implementations focused on Oracle Enterprise Asset Management, Oracle Financials, Purchasing, Oracle Inventory and Oracle Property Manager. Configuration and extensibility work emphasized RICE components design and development, PLSQL, Oracle Forms personalisation, BI Publisher reporting, Oracle Workflow orchestration and OAF and ADF application development, covering development, testing, quality assurance and production support phases.
Operational integration centered on platform-level collaboration with Technology and DBA teams, including performance tuning, closure of service requests with Oracle and formal tracking of change requests. The operational scope extended to finance, procurement and maintenance teams, reflecting the specific module set deployed and the need for cross-functional interfaces for end-to-end transactional processing.
Governance and runbook practices were oriented around lifecycle management of RICE artifacts, formal change request tracking and incident to resolution processes, with systems engineers accountable for SLA-driven availability and platform tuning. In 2015, Qatar Airways' Al Khobar Dammam branch deployed five TimeTec FingerTec Q2i devices to automate HR time attendance and door access control. The deployment used TimeTec FingerTec Q2i in the Time Clock (Hardware) category to capture biometric attendance and control door entry across the Al Khobar site. Reseller ITQAN Al Khaleej delivered, configured, and commissioned the terminals for operational use.
Implementation integrated the Q2i terminals with Ingress (Middle East) for access control orchestration and centralized attendance logging, consolidating biometric and door event streams. The scope focused on HR and site security functions, transitioning manual sign in and physical key workflows to automated biometric capture and electronic door control. Governance followed reseller led configuration and handover to on site operations, with ITQAN Al Khaleej responsible for device provisioning and system configuration. Reported outcomes included improved attendance accuracy and enhanced site security.

In 2015, Qatar Airways implemented Oracle Enterprise Asset Management as its Enterprise Asset Management solution to centralize maintenance planning and operational control. The Oracle Enterprise Asset Management deployment targeted Hamad International Airport asset operations and the Asset Management Department, establishing a computer based maintenance management system as the single system of record for maintenance activity.
Configuration focused on core Enterprise Asset Management capabilities including maintenance planning, scheduling, work order management and completion tracking, preventive maintenance routines and an asset registry. Oracle eAM was configured to centrally manage maintenance planning, scheduling and work completion across engineering workflows and to support standardized maintenance processes.
Rollout engaged senior business stakeholders from Engineering, commercial, security, IT and HR, many not previously involved in asset management, to embed asset centric decision making into operational processes. Operational coverage emphasized Hamad International Airport, and the program included development and transition of the Asset Management Department organizational design to align with airport level asset management objectives.
Governance was formalized through Hamad International Airport's first ISO 55001 compliant Strategic Asset Management Plan, providing structured management control and decision making across the organisation. The Strategic Asset Management Plan and Oracle Enterprise Asset Management workflows were used together to realign roles, processes and accountability within the Asset Management Department to meet defined asset management objectives.
