In 2008 Racing Victoria deployed Microsoft Dynamics GP as its ERP Financial system. Microsoft Dynamics GP was administered across parent entities and approximately 90 clubs, with two major upgrades performed across versions 8 through 10 during the implementation period.
The implementation centered on finance area capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics GP, with system administration, report development and configuration routines established to support general ledger and management reporting workflows. FRx Report Writer was used for formal financial reports, while custom Access databases and SQL Server procedures were developed to extract and transform Dynamics GP data for downstream consumption.
Integrations were a key operational element, Dynamics GP data was fed into Cognos TM1 via SQL Server procedures to support cube and dimension design and management reporting. The environment also interfaced with a Workplace Procurement system and a third party document scanning provider, with Integrations Manager used for bespoke integration design and development, and Crystal Reports used for procurement reporting.
Governance included centralized system administration, ongoing user training and support, and staged upgrade processes across the parent entity and club network. The combined configuration of Microsoft Dynamics GP, FRx, TM1 and SQL Server significantly improved access to financial data for management and reduced reporting workloads on finance, according to internal system administration records.

| CVCheck | Legacy | CVCheck CheckPoint | BackGround Screening | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Racing Victoria implemented CVCheck CheckPoint as its BackGround Screening solution to centralize pre employment checks across hiring processes. The deployment focused on recruitment and compliance functions that support major events including the Melbourne Cup and the Spring Racing Carnival.
CVCheck CheckPoint was configured to support 100 point identity verification, national police checks and reference checks, as well as sector specific probity workflows including ASIC and APRA checks, financial screening, private interest and probity declarations, and a Betting Account Declaration. The application was used to manage workflow for integrity roles and operational staff, enabling role differentiated screening rules and faster verification for international recruits. CVCheck CheckPoint also provided centralized case management for candidate screening and record keeping across People and Culture.
Operational coverage included People and Culture, betting supervisors, stewards, race day teams, compliance and regulatory teams, veterinary staff and in house software developers involved in race operations. Integrity roles were subject to the full gamut of checks while event facing roles retained stricter betting related declarations without necessarily requiring all financial or ASIC checks.
Governance and workflow ownership rested with the People and Culture team led by the People and Culture Advisor, with screening outcomes feeding into Single Code of Practice compliance and follow up procedures. The screening process established escalation pathways to investigate red flags and to conduct probity interviews where required.
As explicitly reported, CVCheck CheckPoint helped Racing Victoria accelerate checks for international candidates and provided checks and balances that supported broad candidate sourcing. Checks rarely returned a red flag, approximately one in 40, and the system enabled the organization to validate candidates against regulatory and integrity requirements while operating under heavy public scrutiny.
