In 2016, Raia Drogasil implemented Apdata Global Antares to support HR across its expanding Brazilian retail and distribution network. Apdata Global Antares is a Human Capital Management application that provided decentralization and automation for personnel administration across stores in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Goiás and the Distrito Federal, with distribution centers in Contagem MG and Aparecida de Goiânia GO.
Deployment centered on the Global Antares System's HR Portal and included the Time Attendance Management Module and Vacation Scheduling functionality. The Time Attendance Management Module automated time capture and scheduling workflows common to Human Capital Management solutions, and Vacation Scheduling moved a paper based approvals process into a digital workflow where unit managers submit and monitor requests.
Operational ownership extended to store managers and the central personnel administration team, enabling decentralization of activities that supported the retailer's expansion. The Personnel Administration coordinator stated that the partnership with Apdata significantly contributed to the management of important HR routines, and that the system met the needs of both the HR area and employees.
The rollout was executed collaboratively with Apdata, customizing the Apdata Global Antares System to Raia Drogasil requirements so managers could make requests and track status via the GA HR Portal. Automating vacation scheduling and time attendance eliminated existing procedural barriers and materially reduced misplaced paperwork, consolidating HR workflows on the centralized portal.

In 2021, Raia Drogasil implemented Oracle Analytics Cloud to analyze transactional and historical data held on its Oracle Exadata infrastructure, using the Oracle Analytics Cloud application in the Analytics and BI category to support logistics, pharmacy operations, and customer engagement. The deployment was part of a hybrid architecture that preserved on-premises Oracle Exadata Database Machines while extending a replica environment into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, enabling analytics directly against synchronized cloud data for the multichannel retail and healthcare platform Vitat.
Oracle Analytics Cloud was configured to mine decades of transactional records for pharmacy preferences, buying behavior, supply chain improvements, and market forecasts, feeding downstream programs such as the Stix loyalty ecosystem and targeted promotions. The implementation leveraged Oracle Analytics Cloud capabilities for trend analysis, cohort segmentation, and demand forecasting to inform supply chain replenishment and loyalty campaigns, while operating against data replicated in near real time.
The analytics environment was tightly integrated with the companys Exadata estate and Oracle Exadata Database Service on OCI, with Oracle GoldenGate providing real-time replication and a 10 gigabyte OCI FastConnect link providing a dedicated, secure connection between the Sao Paulo Oracle data center and the cloud instance. Oracle CrowdTwist Loyalty and Engagement and Oracle Responsys Campaign Management were part of the broader data and customer engagement stack, receiving insights produced by Oracle Analytics Cloud, and the dual Exadata machines supported 300,000 calls per second across 2,600 pharmacies and 11 distribution centers to maintain high availability.
Governance and operational coverage emphasized business continuity and rapid recovery, keeping pharmacy point of sale, inventory replenishment, invoicing, and accounts payable processes continuously available. Results reported include cutting backup time from 10 days to 10 hours, reducing disaster recovery provisioning from months to hours, and eliminating 75 percent of hardware costs over three years, all while enabling analytics-driven improvements in supply chain and customer engagement through Oracle Analytics Cloud in the Analytics and BI category.
