In 2021 Rarebreed Veterinary Partners implemented Instinct ERP as its Healthcare ERP platform to standardize clinical and operational workflows across a 24/7 hospital environment. The deployment was led from the internal IT organization and targeted inpatient and pharmacy operations, with explicit configuration work focused on pharmacy scripting, label printing, asset tracking, and clinical device integrations.
Instinct ERP was configured to support inventory and pharmacy workflows, asset management, and clinical documentation consistent with Healthcare ERP capabilities. Functional configuration included pharmacy RX scripting integration points, label printer provisioning inside Instinct ERP, and asset tracking records, while IT automation was applied to device provisioning and application stacks to streamline end user access.
The implementation integrated Instinct ERP with a set of on-premises and cloud operational systems that were explicitly documented during rollout. Known integrations include Cubex for pharmacy and ICU RX scripts, Dragon for clinical dictation, Asteris migrated from smartPACS for imaging workflows, cardiology and telemetry platforms for patient monitoring data, ManageEngine for IT service management, O365 for identity and administration, and deployment of 12 label printers tied into Instinct ERP. Network and infrastructure work included internet failover and load balanced IP ranges to support continuous hospital operations.
Governance and operationalization emphasized role based Active Directory controls and automated imaging workflows, with over 200 group policies created to enforce department and user profiles. A deployment server and Windows 10 imaging scripts reduced device provisioning time from 2.5 weeks to 90 minutes, enabling rollout of more than 120 newly imaged laptops and replacement of 75 desktops, and supporting operational mobility across the hospital. Instinct ERP is referenced throughout governance documentation as the core Healthcare ERP supporting pharmacy, clinical monitoring, and asset management functions.
