Discover the latest software purchases and digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by RES and its business and technology executives. Each quarter our research team identifies on-prem and cloud applications that are being used by the 420 RES employees from the public (Press Releases, Customer References, Testimonials, Case Studies and Success Stories) and proprietary sources.
During our research, we have identified that RES has purchased the following applications: SAP S/4 HANA for ERP Financial in 2016, Cisco Webex Meetings for Audio Video and Web Conferencing in 2020, OpenText Content Intelligence for Content Management in 2018 and the related IT decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Our database provides customer insight and contextual information on which enterprise applications and software systems RES is running and its propensity to invest more and deepen its relationship with SAP , IFS , Cisco Systems or identify new suppliers as part of their overall Digital and IT transformation projects to stay competitive, fend off threats from disruptive forces, or comply with internal mandates to improve overall enterprise efficiency.
We have been analyzing RES revenues, which have grown to $82.0 million in 2024, plus its IT budget and roadmap, cloud software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions for RES intention to invest in emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database or in cloud-based ERP, HCM, CRM, EPM, Procurement or Treasury applications.

In 2018, RES implemented OpenText Content Intelligence to consolidate document management and standardize access to group policies and project documentation across a distributed global workforce. The initiative targeted the Content Management needs of engineering and corporate teams, addressing reliance on aging custom code and the requirement to handle complex content types including CAD drawings and corporate email archives.
The implementation used OpenText Content Intelligence as the analytics and classification layer, combined with OpenText Content Server and OpenText Content Suite as the core repository and document services, OpenText ActiveView for high fidelity CAD viewing, OpenText ECM Everywhere for remote and mobile access, and OpenText WebReports for operational reporting. Configuration emphasized automated ingestion and metadata enrichment for heterogeneous content types, full text indexing and search, controlled check in and check out, and repository-level versioning to support collaborative editing on project artifacts.
Deployment architecture was organized around a centralized content repository accessible to distributed users via ECM Everywhere and web interfaces, while Content Intelligence provided automated classification and extraction to normalize CAD files and email content for project-centric access. The implementation included capture and digitization workflows to bring paper-reliant departments into the repository, and connector patterns were established to ingest engineering drawings and email stores into the Content Management platform.
Governance workstreams formalized document lifecycle policies, role based access controls, metadata taxonomies aligned to group policies, and project based folder structures to enforce consistent document handling. Rollout was executed as phased departmental onboarding to align process changes with repository configuration and reporting, with WebReports used to validate adoption and adherence to the new Content Management controls.
