In 2016 Republic Elite implemented Smartsheet Data Shuttle and DataTable under the Collaboration category to centralize manufacturing, billing and project operations across its U.S. facilities in North America. The deployment aimed to replace spreadsheet-driven workflows with a centralized Smartsheet repository to support product configuration management and cross-functional operational coordination.
Smartsheet Data Shuttle was configured to automate bulk data movement into the platform while DataTable and Dynamic View were used to establish a structured product master and controlled data views. Smartsheet Data Shuttle and DataTable were configured to support large scale product data ingestion and to provide role-specific access to product records, enabling billing and installation teams to surface relevant product information without exposing the full dataset.
Operational coverage included sales, manufacturing, contracts, billing and installation teams across Republic Elites U.S. facilities, with the solution embedded into project operations and billing workflows. The architecture centralized product configuration data within Smartsheet, creating a single source of truth for tens of thousands of configurations while enabling lightweight, workflow-driven collaboration consistent with the Collaboration category.
The Smartsheet solution helped Republic Elite scale to manage approximately 44,000 product configurations and reduced manual, spreadsheet-driven work across sales, manufacturing and contracts. Governance was driven by a centralized product repository and controlled Dynamic View exposures to ensure teams accessed only the data needed for billing and installation activities.
