In 2015, Response Team 1 Holdings onboarded Maxwell Health to centralize benefits administration and run paperless open enrollment across its multi-state workforce. The deployment used Maxwell Health as the primary Benefits Administration platform to consolidate enrollments and provide employee self-service for benefits selection and ancillary plans. Maxwell Health was positioned as the single system of record for enrollments and eligibility tracking within the HR function.
The implementation configured Maxwell Health enrollment workflows and ancillary benefits enrollment capabilities consistent with Benefits Administration best practices, enabling online open enrollment campaigns and automated capture of employee elections. The project was led by benefits consultant Bjork Group, which managed configuration of eligibility rules, employee-facing enrollment pages, and administrator dashboards.
Operational integration included payroll feeds to operationalize deductions and reconciliation with payroll systems, and the platform was rolled out across Response Team 1 Holdings multi-state operations to replace paper processes with a paperless open enrollment workflow. Governance shifted to a centralized HR owner model, with Bjork Group supporting initial rollout and training while HR maintained ongoing enrollment governance.
As an explicit outcome of the engagement, ancillary participation rose from about 50% to 70% and HR gained a single system of record for enrollments and payroll feeds using Maxwell Health.
