The deployment introduced Huawei USG6000 Next Generation Firewalls in the Next Generation Firewall category to secure and scale high capacity Wi Fi services for guests and staff while provisioning infrastructure to enable data driven Wi Fi marketing. The implementation configured core Next Generation Firewall capabilities aligned to hospitality campus needs, including network segmentation between guest and staff access, policy based access control, application level inspection and intrusion prevention to protect high throughput wireless traffic. Firewall configuration emphasized centralized policy management, user authentication workflows and captive portal integration to support marketing driven user journeys and differentiated service tiers for guests and staff. Operationally the USG6000 was integrated into the broader Wireless Campus fabric and operational scope covered guest services, staff connectivity and marketing systems used for Wi Fi engagement. The network modernization work began in 2018 and the upgraded solution including the USG6000 Series NGFW went live around 2019, with IT and marketing teams using centralized controls to govern access and marketing driven Wi Fi flows.
