In 2014 Robertson Produce implemented Thyme Member Magic as its Membership Management application to centralize customer billing and financial record keeping. The implementation captured source documents including customer invoices, cash receipts, supplier invoices and budgetary reports, and recorded posting information to accounting journals inside Thyme Member Magic. The deployment supported core accounting workflows for a 40 employee distribution company.
Functional modules and configurations implemented in Thyme Member Magic included accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation and statement generation, with processes established to issue monthly statements to customers and to collect sales taxes in compliance with local, state and federal requirements. Operational use of the application encompassed reconciling bank accounts, maintaining Excel spreadsheets as needed, providing financial information to external accountants and auditors, and supporting management staff with transactional accounting and office procurement tasks. Governance focused on recurring monthly statement cycles and tax compliance workflows embedded in the Membership Management configuration.
