The implementation covered Lawson financial and supply chain applications, and the project included deployment of the Infor Business Intelligence platform to provide reporting and analytics across finance areas. Functional capabilities implemented included core accounting and procurement workflows, with explicit workstreams for cost accounting, budgeting, and strategic planning driven through Allscripts EPSi integration. Document management was addressed through Lexmark imaging and optical character recognition applications to streamline invoice processing and record retention.
Integrations were executed between Infor Lawson and the Infor Business Intelligence platform, Lexmark imaging OCR, Allscripts EPSi for cost accounting and budgeting, and a new ADP payroll service to consolidate payroll processing. The technical architecture therefore linked transactional ERP processing, BI reporting, imaging workflows, and payroll services to create an end to end finance and supply chain information flow.
Governance and organizational change included merging of teams and creation of new processes for the consolidated organization, with a project director coordinating cross functional rollout activities. Operational scope touched finance, supply chain, cost accounting, budgeting, payroll and strategic planning functions, and the program required new workflow and governance models to align those departments under the Infor Lawson ERP Financial implementation.
