Operational scope covered finance, corporate accounting, treasury and financial planning teams, with configuration workstreams aligned to chart of accounts harmonization and accounting policy standardization.
Governance established centralized chart of accounts, standardized approval workflows and documented month end close procedures, supporting process consistency and ongoing financial governance. In 2022, Rogers Communications implemented Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits as a centralized Benefits Administration capability to support HR and payroll orchestration across its 24,000 employee base. The deployment was owned by Rogers Digital & Technology and aligned with the team mandate to deliver enterprise HR services and self-service experiences for employees and managers.
The Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits implementation focused on benefits configuration, eligibility and enrollment, benefits-related Fast Formulas, HCM extracts, BI reporting and personalized Oracle HCM views and workflows. Employee and manager self-service functionality was configured alongside absence and core HR touchpoints to ensure benefits events align with onboarding, leaves and payroll processing.
Integrations were explicitly supported between Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits and downstream systems, including Timekeeper, employee benefits providers, Pension, Total rewards, Discounts and company active directory. The program included batch processing orchestration for SaaS interfaces, monitoring of HCM extracts and coordinated handling of SSO, EFT and system outages with downstream owners and support groups.
Governance and operational processes emphasized RFC creation aligned to release calendars and embargo periods, formal change and incident management, ITQA and functional testing, and facilitation of JAD sessions to translate business requirements into technical configurations. Day to day support covered BAU activities from onboarding and system id generation to benefits and payroll coordination, with the Sr. Business Systems Analyst role providing configuration management, testing support and functional troubleshooting for Oracle Cloud HCM Benefits.
