AerData was configured as the primary billing system using CMS AerData capabilities and as the contract and asset management backbone, with custom configuration to handle lease contracts, billing schedules, and portfolio reporting. The program included in-house system administration and ongoing development of contract and accounting software, with automation of reporting to reduce manual reporting overhead.
The implementation integrated AerData with the company accounting landscape through an interface to Sun Systems and coordinated with an upgrade to Sun Systems that introduced bolt-on modules including Vendor Master System, Purchase Order System, and Banking Interface. Technical assurance and consulting work covered development of an API from the contracting and accounting systems to Salesforce and to a customer portal, enabling synchronized customer and contract data flows.
Governance was formalized by the Credit and Systems team which developed and managed a credit risk policy and procedures for the Engine Leasing Group, and by establishing system change management processes for ongoing development and rollouts. Project management oversight covered the Sun Systems upgrade, vendor bolt-ons, and the API development to align contract, billing, and customer engagement workflows and to protect data integrity.
Explicit outcomes cited for the initiative include reduced man hours spent on reporting, improved integrity of data, and strengthened management of the leasing portfolio. AerData remained the named Lease and Asset Management Software supporting credit, billing, contract, and portfolio management functions.
