Oracle Legacy Oracle NetSuite ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 UCLA Health System implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP. The organization deployed Oracle NetSuite ERP as an ERP Financial platform to centralize accounting for hospital and clinical entities, standardize the chart of accounts, and strengthen period close and statutory reporting processes. Configuration centered on core financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, fixed assets, and financial reporting, with extensions for multi entity accounting and revenue cycle financial controls consistent with ERP Financial capabilities. The implementation incorporated automation of journal processing and approval workflows, template based reporting, and role based access to segregate duties. System configuration emphasized configurable ledgers and intercompany accounting to manage consolidated financials across organizational units. The solution was provisioned as a cloud native SaaS instance to enable centralized configuration management and patching. Operational coverage extended across finance, accounting, treasury, procurement, and revenue cycle teams within UCLA Health System. Governance was organized around centralized financial policies, a system ownership committee, and standardized month end procedures to enforce internal controls and reconciliation disciplines. Oracle NetSuite ERP served as the authoritative financial system for transactional finance and reporting workflows.

UKG Legacy UKG Workforce Central Timekeeper (ex Kronos Workforce Timekeeper) Time and Attendance HCM n/a 2014 2014
In 2014 UCLA Health System deployed UKG Workforce Central Timekeeper (ex Kronos Workforce Timekeeper) to centralize enterprise Time and Attendance across its healthcare operations. The implementation targeted the Time and Attendance category and focused on Workforce Central 8.0 core modules, delivering a single system for timekeeping, absence management, accruals, device manager, and analytics for multi‑site operations. Configuration work centered on comprehensive pay rule and work rule design, access profiles, scheduler and advanced scheduler configuration, and accrual plan setup. The team implemented leave of absence structures, eligibility and document workflows, combined paycodes and wage profiles, labor level hierarchies, attendance history imports, and attendance point balance processes. UKG Workforce Central Timekeeper was configured with navigators, genies, hyperfinds, widgets and workspaces to streamline manager and timekeeper tasks and to automate routine payroll inputs previously maintained in spreadsheets. Integrations were a major component of the deployment, with inbound and outbound interfaces built and maintained using Workforce Integration Manager and Kronos Connect and Interface Designer. Named system integrations included Lawson, PeopleSoft HR/Payroll, Oracle databases, Epic clinical systems, Infor, Agile Assets and coordination with Ultipro conversion teams. Operational coverage spanned HR, payroll and benefits functions across multiple production locations, with SQL Server and Oracle used for data extraction, mass configuration downloads and ongoing reconciliation. Governance and rollout followed formal SDLC practices using both Waterfall and Agile methods, with full cycle implementation, parallel and end to end testing, quarterly release validation and documented test cases. Change management activities included training for managers and police personnel, creation of process flowcharts, data conversion planning and go‑live support for lookup tables and interfaces. The project also included support for Lawson upgrades and routine service pack maintenance, and the Workforce Analytics web enabled system was implemented in over 20 healthcare facilities on time and consistently under project budget.

Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Power BI Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2015 2018
In 2015 UCLA Health System implemented Microsoft Power BI as a core component of its Analytics and BI capability to support reporting for internal and external partners. The deployment was anchored on Microsoft SQL Server based data platforms and leveraged SSIS and SSRS alongside Tableau and AWS components described in project documentation. Implementation work focused on design and development of data platforms, ETL orchestration, and dashboarding. Engineers defined and developed SSIS packages to consolidate data from multiple sources, created ETL templates and reusable design patterns for complex projects, and developed SSRS and Power BI/ Tableau reports to serve clinical, operational, and partner reporting needs. Operational integration included scheduled SSIS jobs and monitoring, data dictionary management using Visio, Word, and Excel for consistent data mapping, and enforcement of Microsoft best practice naming conventions for SSIS and database objects. Microsoft Power BI was used for interactive dashboard reports while SSIS handled extraction, transformation, and load processes, and SSRS continued to provide paginated reporting where required. Governance and team processes emphasized auditing, job monitoring, and mentoring to raise data warehouse team efficiency and sustainability. Naming standards, ETL templates, and documented data mappings provided the control layer for report consistency across UCLA Health System Microsoft Power BI Analytics and BI reporting workflows.
