Acumatica Microsoft Dynamics SL Acumatica ERP Cloud Construction Edition Construction ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, Ross Group migrated its in-house Microsoft Dynamics SL ERP to Acumatica ERP Cloud Construction Edition, initiating a targeted Construction ERP implementation for the 50-employee professional services firm. The Acumatica ERP Cloud Construction Edition deployment was positioned to centralize project-driven financials and replace transactional capabilities previously handled in Microsoft Dynamics SL. The implementation focused on provisioning core financials and construction-oriented capabilities, including project accounting, job costing, project billing workflows, and subcontractor cost tracking consistent with Construction ERP functional patterns. Configuration work included chart of accounts rationalization, job and cost code structures, and setup of construction billing and retainage processes to align financial and project controls with industry practices. Integrations and data migration work explicitly tied Acumatica to the firms existing application estate, including migration of Microsoft SQL databases, continuity of reporting through Microsoft Reporting Services and Power BI, and operational linkages to Cosential CRM for client and opportunity data and Spitfire Project Management for project schedules and documents. The implementation preserved SharePoint 365 as an employee records and document management layer and planned integration with Arcoro Bird Dog HR as the HRIS destination. Governance and operational change included deploying an Employee Records System inside SharePoint 365 and designing an Employee Performance Management System using performance factors mined from company databases. The program also included AV and collaboration investments, with Qconnect appliances installed in over a dozen conference rooms to support meeting and screen sharing workflows while the migration to Acumatica ERP Cloud Construction Edition and the Arcoro Bird Dog HR rollout continued.
