| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021 RPM International implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment targeted corporate accounting and non-operating finance functions across RPM's operating units, with the Corporate Accounting Controller acting as project lead coordinating third party consultants, local accounting personnel and operating unit IT staff. Implementation scope included consolidation and financial reporting, equity and stock-based compensation accounting, and standardized account reconciliation processes for non-op companies.
Configuration and configuration and functional workstreams focused on financial statement and footnote preparation, earnings per share calculations under US GAAP and non-GAAP, consolidated statements of stockholders equity, consolidated statements of comprehensive income and accumulated other comprehensive income. RPM performed ERP and financial statement reporting tool account mappings, current and historical data extraction for data conversion, user role definitions, system workflow design and validation testing, and executed reporting tool data loads to align operational ledgers with statutory reporting. Stock-based compensation and various equity adjustments continued to interface with third party software for monthly calculations and disclosures.
Operational coverage for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations implementation included corporate accounting, non-op finance for approximately 20 non-op entities, and a small centralized finance team led by the controller that included two employees in a foreign service center. Governance and control changes introduced as part of the implementation included a formal account reconciliation process to comply with SOX and company policies, and documented monthly and quarterly SOX control procedures such as cash pool reconciliation, HFM to GL tie outs, select foreign bank reconciliation reviews, marketable securities price testing, journal entry completeness reviews and cash flow rollforward reconciliations. The controller also led adjacent finance initiatives including 1099 compliance, ACH conversion and GL account restructuring, and delivered monthly non-op P and L and balance sheet analytics to senior management.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2020 |
In 2019 RPM International implemented Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management as part of a broader Oracle Cloud HCM rollout completed between December 2019 and May 2020. The implementation included Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management alongside Time and Labor, Core HR, and Benefits modules, and targeted HR and workforce management functions within the company's United States operations.
Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management was configured to manage leave types, accrual rules, eligibility logic, and absence request workflows. Time and Labor was implemented to capture time collection and roster management, and to feed time inputs into absence validations. Core HR provided the employee master data, position and assignment records that drive entitlement calculations and benefits eligibility for absence processing.
The deployment used Oracle Cloud HCM as the centralized SaaS system of record to consolidate absence and time data for HR, payroll-adjacent processes, benefits administration, and workforce scheduling teams. Operational coverage included employee self-service for leave requests, manager approval workflows, and HR operations for policy configuration and compliance reporting. Integrations concentrated on synchronizing master employee data and time inputs within the Oracle Cloud HCM environment.
Rollout followed a six month timeline from December 2019 to May 2020 with phased configuration, data conversion activities, and role-based user enablement led by HR process owners and system administrators. Governance emphasized standardizing leave policies, approval chains, and accrual calculations within the Absence and Leave Management category, and updating operating procedures to align HR case management and timekeeping workflows.

In 2019, RPM International implemented LeaseAccelerator to centralize lease accounting and administration, aligning lease data workflows with the company finance reporting calendar. The deployment targeted lease accounting controls and disclosure support within the Lease Management category, providing a single system for cataloging leases and generating standardized accounting outputs for external reporting.
The implementation configured core LeaseAccelerator capabilities such as lease data capture, right of use asset and lease liability recognition, amortization and payment schedules, automated journal entry generation, and lease disclosure reporting. Configuration emphasized producing accounting-ready outputs to support RPMs Form 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings and to assist review processes including XBRL tagging and footnote preparation.
Operationally the LeaseAccelerator instance was used to collect lease information from worldwide operating companies and to feed consolidated reporting workflows managed by the corporate finance organization. The system supported the coordination of quarterly reconciliations used in external reporting and integrated into the broader monthly and quarterly close cadence without naming specific downstream systems.
Governance for the LeaseAccelerator environment was placed with the Manager of Financial Reporting, who served as system administrator and led the lease accounting process across operating companies. That role combined system administration, preparation of accounting entries, coordination of the Quarterly Sales to Gross Profit Recon, and direct support for investor relations materials and MD&A disclosures.
