| Tipalti | Legacy | Tipalti Invoice Management and Bill Processing System | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Brandwatch deployed Tipalti Invoice Management and Bill Processing System as its AP Automation solution to centralize accounts payable workflows across the company. The implementation targeted the Financial Operations team and Accounts Payable function, with operational coverage extending to Brandwatch’s global finance organization and its offices including the Sofia, Bulgaria site where a Junior Financial Accountant supports daily AP tasks.
Tipalti Invoice Management and Bill Processing System was configured to handle invoice intake, automated data capture and validation, three way invoice to purchase order and goods receipt verification, approval routing, and supplier payment processing. The deployment emphasized invoice workflow orchestration and bill processing capabilities consistent with AP Automation category functionality, supporting control frameworks for timely, accurate invoice processing and supplier payment execution.
The Tipalti deployment was operated alongside the expense tool Expensify, with explicit operational integration between Tipalti and Expensify for AP and expense workflows. The system served as the central ledger for vendor invoice lifecycle management, routed stakeholder queries through AP workflows, and aligned with the Accounts Payable Manager driven control and approval model used by the global finance team.
Governance and process changes focused on enforcing invoice verification against purchase orders, formalizing query resolution channels with business partners, and consolidating supplier payment tasks under the Financial Operations team. Role level responsibilities noted in the implementation included daily accounts payable processing, supplier payment preparation, and management of Tipalti and Expensify by finance staff in Sofia and other regional finance personnel.

| Certinia | Legacy | Certinia PSA (ex FinancialForce PSA) | Professional Services Automation | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2018 |
In 2017 Brandwatch implemented Certinia PSA (ex FinancialForce PSA) as the Professional Services Automation platform to consolidate project delivery and services accounting within its revenue operations stack. The rollout coincided with a broader commercial stack overhaul led by the Revenue Operations and Strategy Director, aligning the PSA deployment with Salesforce Lightning, Salesforce CPQ for quoting, and Zuora for billing.
Certinia PSA (ex FinancialForce PSA) was configured to deliver core Professional Services Automation capabilities including project accounting, time and expense capture, resource scheduling, and billing trigger orchestration. Configuration focused on structured project hierarchies, utilization tracking, and the link between project delivery records and contract level billing events to support consistent revenue recognition workflows.
The implementation integrated directly with Salesforce CRM and Salesforce CPQ for quoting, with Zuora for subscription billing reconciliation, and with Gainsight for customer success workflows, forming an integrated revenue to recognition chain across commercial and post sales teams. Operational coverage encompassed global revenue operations and service delivery functions, and the PSA implementation was used as a data source for lead to recognised revenue metrics and management and board reporting.
Governance and rollout were managed by the Revenue Operations and Strategy Director and executed by a compact global operations team of analysts and Salesforce administrators, with configuration and process changes coordinated across three budget cycles, quota setting, and compensation revisions. The deployment supported process restructuring including a company level renewal process and creation of new renewal management roles, with system configuration and reporting instrumented to feed executive reporting.
