In 2004 Salem Health implemented Infor Lawson as its ERP Financial platform. The Business Applications Support group managed the Infor Lawson environment and provided ongoing functional support for core modules, with production usage across GL, AR, AP, AM, HR, PR, ESS, MSS and LBI.
Implementation activity included an infrastructure transition from a hosted system to in-house servers and an application upgrade from Lawson version 8.05 to 9.1, executed as staged projects. Functional workstreams included configuring the Absence Management module in partnership with HR and deploying Lawson Smart Notes to embed documentation and workflow context inside the application.
Operational coverage spanned finance, payroll and human resources teams using GL, AR, AP, AM, HR and PR modules, plus employee self-service and manager self-service via ESS and MSS. Support responsibilities also extended to Lawson related applications, notably BSI Tax Factory for tax processing and MHC Document express for document generation and distribution, integrating transaction processing with output workflows.
Governance and day to day change control were centered in the Business Applications Support group, which coordinated with management and staff on functional issue resolution, project coordination and staged rollouts. The implementation combined application module configuration, infrastructure consolidation and cross functional operational support within Salem Health.
