In 2019 Sanofi UK, working with Accenture on Project Shift, implemented SAP S/4 HANA as the core ERP Financial platform for a multi-country consolidation and standardization program. The initiative used SAP S/4 HANA 1610 as the target application and designated Iberia and Benelux as pathfinder countries with subsequent rollouts planned to the US, France, Italy and other markets, and ongoing support for implemented countries.
The implementation covered a broad set of finance and controlling capabilities, including General Ledger accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Cost Planning and Product Costing, Material Ledger and actual costing at project level, Cost Object controlling and Order Costing, Project System, Project Profitability Analysis COPA, Order to Cash integration and Requisition to Pay integration. Teams delivered configuration and functional specifications for enhancements, and implemented end to end business process flows consistent with ERP Financial functional terminology and controls. Fiori Apps were included for user interaction and operational visibility.
Integration and technical orchestration included SAP MDG for master data creation and governance, Idoc design and implementation with AIF Idoc monitoring for interface management, and SolMan for configuration transport management. Quality and release processes used HPALM for requirement tracking, test planning, testing and defect tracking, and coordination between functional and technical teams governed development artifacts and transports. The architecture centered on a single global SAP S4 system and standardized application footprint to reduce fragmentation across connected systems.
Program governance emphasized cross-country workshops, feasibility studies, requirements gathering, functional specification authoring and design workshops led by Accenture and core S/4HANA leads. Test lifecycle stages included FUT, SIT, UAT and Hyper Care with dedicated processes for issue resolution and defect management. Customization requests followed documented functional specifications and technical collaboration for developments and transport management through SolMan.
Shift was positioned as a key enabler for simplification and standardization of business processes and the project delivered SAP S/4 HANA as the enterprise ERP Financial backbone for Sanofi UK and the broader country rollout. Ongoing activities included rollout planning, country-level support for implemented sites and continued stabilization of finance and project accounting processes.

In 2021 Sanofi UK deployed the Sociabble Platform as its Employee Engagement solution, embedding the Sociabble Platform on its corporate website to centralize curated communications for its UK employee base of roughly 2000 staff. The Sociabble Platform is positioned to support internal communications and employee advocacy workflows, aligning Company Application Category Business Function as Sanofi UK Sociabble Platform Employee Engagement internal communications.
The implementation focused on standard Employee Engagement functional modules, including content curation and distribution, employee advocacy and social sharing, campaign orchestration and editorial scheduling, and engagement analytics. Configuration emphasized role based content governance and segmented content streams to match corporate communications, HR announcements, and local marketing messages for different employee cohorts.
Operational coverage concentrated on the UK site level, with the Sociabble Platform surfaced through Sanofi UK web properties to reach desk and remote employees through a web delivered channel. The deployment pattern reflects a centralized content hub model for Employee Engagement, feeding editorial campaigns and advocacy programs across departmental stakeholders in internal communications, human resources, and corporate affairs.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP BusinessObjects Lumira | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Sanofi UK deployed SAP BusinessObjects Lumira as part of an Analytics and BI program to support revenue management and Customer Service dashboards. The engagement was led by an Analytics Lead Consultant serving as ITS Solution Architect and single point of contact for the Shift Analytics North America rollout, establishing program-level accountability for embedded analytics and BW4HANA reporting.
The implementation architecture combined SAP BusinessObjects Lumira 2.1 on top of S4HANA using CDS views with a BW4HANA and Embedded Analytics backbone. Workstreams included data modeling and BEx query optimization in BW4HANA, redesign of S4HANA ACDOCA extraction to BW, and dashboard design for Customer Service, Trade and SCI. The team designed end to end data ingestion paths to bring data from external systems using flat file and database connect methods, and led performance tuning of pilot market embedded analytics reports and BW4HANA objects.
Governance and delivery practices were formalized through review of functional and technical specifications, offshore development reviews, and a design standards and best practices checklist for BW4HANA developments covering data modeling, BEx queries and BusinessObjects reports. The program worked closely with Accenture and Infosys teams to assess and align design standards, and managed system testing activities including SIT and UAT for North America phase 1 and phase 2 rollout. Sanofi UK SAP BusinessObjects Lumira implementation therefore tied Analytics and BI tooling to revenue management and Customer Service business functions under a structured governance model.
