In-House Applications Legacy Maybank MyHR2u Employee Self Service HCM n/a 2016 2016
In 2016 Sarawak Oil Palms implemented Maybank MyHR2u as an Employee Self Service application to centralize core HR workflows across the organization. The deployment was led by the company in-house applications team and targeted HR administration for a workforce of approximately 8,000 employees, with early rollout activity noted in Miri, Sarawak. The implementation encompassed a broad set of functional modules consistent with Employee Self Service capabilities, including recruitment workflows, automated HR correspondence generation such as medical checkup letters and letters of offer, transfers and vehicle transfer ownership processing, resignation and contract handling, absenteeism and absconded case tracking, and promotion, bonus and increment processing. The solution also supported an e-claim workflow where HR staff performed guiding, posting and checking roles, aligning platform configuration to established approval and verification steps. Maybank MyHR2u was integrated operationally with existing payroll and benefits submission channels, with HR personnel working against the BOSSNET payroll system and Maybank autopay system while submitting statutory contributions through the EPF, SOCSO and EIS portals. Operational coverage included HR teams, managers across multiple departments and locations, and designated checking responsibilities for three specific employee groups, Artisan, Security and General Artisan, reflecting role-based access and segregation of duties within the Employee Self Service environment. Governance and process changes focused on formalizing checking roles for claims and contribution submissions, routing of employee and manager inquiries through the HR application, and embedding responsibilities for liaising with governmental and non-governmental authorities. The in-house applications team maintained configuration and operational oversight, while HR users assumed day to day transaction processing and verification duties within the Maybank MyHR2u Employee Self Service system.

Minitab Legacy Minitab Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2016 2016
In 2016 Sarawak Oil Palms implemented Minitab as an Analytics and BI application to support statistical analysis and quality assurance workflows. The deployment was positioned to address manufacturing and operations use cases common in consumer packaged goods, aligning analytical work with existing quality assurance practices and process control activities. Minitab was configured to deliver core statistical capabilities including statistical process control, control charts, capability analysis, regression and multivariate analysis, design of experiments, and visualization for root cause analysis. Configurations emphasized repeatable analysis templates, standardized report outputs, and automated charting to streamline routine quality checks and process experiments. Operational use centered on desktop and project-file based analysis by operations and quality personnel, with analytical outputs incorporated into operational reports and presentations. The implementation narrative shows Minitab used as the primary Analytics and BI tool for statistical modeling and process diagnostics rather than as a data integration platform. Governance and rollout relied on internal capability building, leveraging staff with knowledge of Minitab and facilitation experience to train peers and embed statistical workflows into existing QA processes. Control of analytical standards and method reuse was managed through template governance and facilitator-led training to sustain consistent use of Minitab across relevant business functions.
