In 2018, SATS implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Microsoft Dynamics NAV was deployed as an ERP Financial system to support logistics, procurement and finance functions across the organisation.
Configuration focused on inventory and order workflows, including goods receiving checks, container unstuffing coordination, import and export permit tracking, sales order management, and document management for certificate retrieval and supplier documentation. The implementation embedded Excel-driven reporting and weekly system inventory reconciliation workflows to surface variances and drive follow up actions.
Integrations tied Microsoft Dynamics NAV to warehouse management systems and document portals such as the Bizmann portal, and operational coordination with third-party logistics providers. The application supported cross-functional processes spanning procurement, integrated business planning IBP, sales, fulfilment teams and warehouse operations, enabling transactional flows for receiving, tally reconciliation and document uploads.
Governance and process design formalised the Inbound/Outbound Logistics Officer role for daily order and container planning, established escalation paths to management and 3PL partners for inventory variances, and standardised supplier documentation amendment and certificate retrieval procedures. The deployment emphasised orchestration between NAV workflows and WMS processes to improve operational consistency across logistics and fulfilment functions.

In 2019, SATS implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation, establishing a Compensation Management capability within its broader HR applications stack. SATS expanded its SuccessFactors footprint in 2020 to include Performance Management and Goals Management with Continuous Feedback, Learning Management System, Employee Central including Leave, Time Management and Global Benefits, Employee Central Payroll, Succession and Development, and Compensation as part of an integrated suite.
The SAP SuccessFactors Compensation implementation centers on centralized pay planning and compensation data management, configured to operate alongside Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll for master data alignment and payroll posting. Functional scope for Compensation Management includes salary planning workflows, promotion and merit adjustment tracks, and role-based approval routing, with configuration workstreams aligned to existing continuous feedback and performance processes.
Integration work for SATS ties Compensation and other SuccessFactors modules into a broader ecosystem, including the established integration between SuccessFactors and SAP Concur for employee master data and SAP S/4HANA for approver routing and claims posting. Current procurement for Recruiting and Onboarding modules specifies additional integrations to job portals, SATS Active Directory for Windows account and email creation, and downstream connections to Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll and Learning Management System, while TalentLink remains the external applicant tracking system in use.
Operationally the scope covers SATS and its subsidiaries and includes application maintenance services, monitoring of batch jobs and integrations, support for 10 to 20 Concur tickets per month as noted, system enhancements, training services, and preventive maintenance to improve system stability and usability. Procurement and governance for further SuccessFactors work is being managed through a formal tender on SAP Ariba, with tender documents available via Ariba, an interest submission deadline of 14 June 2024 and a tender closing date of 17 July 2024, with a signed NDA required for participation.

SATS has used SAP Concur since 2016, with Concur Request, Travel and Expense modules implemented and integrated to SuccessFactors for employee master data and to SAP S/4HANA for approver routing and claims posting, establishing SAP Concur Travel as the transactional travel and expense system within SATS travel and expense operations.
The Concur scope specified in the tender is focused on application maintenance and enhancement, with SAP Concur Travel support estimated at an average of 10 to 20 tickets per month, plus delivery of system enhancements and end user training services. This work sits alongside ongoing SuccessFactors application support, creating an operational model where SAP Concur Travel handles booking and claim capture workflows and relies on SuccessFactors and S/4HANA integrations for employee identity, approvals and financial posting.
