In 2014 Savex Technologies began deploying IFS Cloud ERP, executing a finance-focused implementation and upgrade effort between October 2014 and June 2015. The initiative was run as a Finance Implementation and Support engagement, with Savex personnel associated with IFS Solutions India handling the IFS 8 upgrade and ongoing application support.
Configuration centered on core finance modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets management and statutory financial reporting, consistent with the ERP Financial category. The work included extensive customizations to support distribution accounting, channel partner settlement workflows and invoice conversion processes required by Savexs distribution model.
Architecturally the solution was provisioned as a centralized IFS Cloud ERP instance serving headquarters in Mumbai and a nationwide footprint of 72 sales offices and 42 stock locations, enabling consolidated finance and inventory accounting across the network. Operational scope covered finance, distribution and branch fulfillment workflows, with application support and iterative configuration changes managed by Savex business support staff.
Governance combined scheduled upgrade sequencing and business process configuration, beginning with the IFS application upgrade to IFS 8 followed by iterative customization and support phases.
