In 2007 Schering-Plough Central East AG implemented Cegedim CRM as its CRM platform to formalize samples management workflows. The rollout centered on Cegedim CRM TEAMS samples modules, while the samples coordinator also implemented an internal TMS CRM software samples module to operate in parallel for sample handling and tracking.
Configuration work focused on samples modules and associated customer engagement workflows typical of CRM-driven sample programs, including request capture, inventory staging, and distribution orchestration. The project included configuration of user roles and process flows inside Cegedim CRM, and development of Office tools to support operational reporting and stakeholder communications.
Integrations emphasized operational alignment rather than technical point-to-point connectors, with the TEAMS samples modules and the internal TMS used together to manage end-to-end sample lifecycle for commercial and medical sample operations in Switzerland. Excel and PowerPoint templates and macros were developed as part of the implementation to standardize reporting, presentation of product information, and user handoffs between functions.
Governance and rollout were led by the samples coordinator, who authored standard operating procedures for sample requests and established a training program, delivering Office tools training for users on Excel and PowerPoint templates. Implementation work was concentrated on embedding Cegedim CRM into day-to-day sample management practices and formalizing operational workflows across the relevant business functions.
